Success in digital marketing, both organic and paid, gets harder with every passing Google core update. But having the data on your side can give you an edge. SERP Sonar started with a simple need: a data-driven SERP analysis tool that identifies new keyword, content and brand marketing opportunities.
And using the right data in the right way can uncover value in places that most people miss. SERP Sonar surfaces insights from the depths of the Google SERP.
SERP Sonar helps digital marketers gather and analyze key search engine results page data, for better ranking.
J. Paul Hendricks, Product Lead & Founder

J. Paul Hendricks has been building data-centered products and businesses for nearly 20 years. The study of search engine ranking logic and site optimization has been a fascination since 1997. But he spent more time in the trading and financial services industry than in digital marketing, working at institutional and fintech vendor firms large and small.
While providing data and solutions to large financial companies, the algorithms he worked with were not Google’s but those used by banks, brokers and hedge funds. A common thread through all, however, has been a focus on finding simple, repeatable methods to solve challenging problems.
Drawing on this experience, Hendricks conceived and launched SERP Sonar as a free SERP analysis tool to collect field data, identify patterns and generate insights from the search engine results pages. Both the financial markets and the Google algos are complex, data-driven systems. And succeeding with both requires a quantitative approach. SERP Sonar helps digital marketers gather and analyze key search engine results page data, to achieve better rankings.
Borhan Uddin, Technical Lead

A seasoned full stack developer, Borhan Uddin brings a broad range of tech skills and domain expertise to SERP Sonar. His project work includes media management tools, real time news and social applications, and platform utilities in the Salesforce ecosystem, among others.
He also led development on a SERP-based digital marketing tool for SEO agency Point Blank SEO, which was acquired by Brian Dean of Backlinko in 2018. This extension was ahead of its time, integrating valuable extra data into the broken link checking process. And, in 2022, Backlinko was, itself, acquired by SEMrush.
Borhan brings experience and subject matter knowledge together with high standards and attention to detail in the development process. SERP Sonar and its community of users are the beneficiaries.
